Positivity – Making Changes in Your Life


Ask yourself what you are doing today is getting you closer to where you want to be tomorrow.

On January 31, I quit my job I’d for the past three years. Let me start by saying I had nothing but trouble with it from the beginning. Because of the circumstances and obligations I had in my life I’d put up with it. But since the end of last year I started having a difficult time coping with my life. I became very unhappy and couldn’t enjoy anything in my life. When I reached this point I knew I had to be honest with myself and had to make a change in my life.

Simply put, my job was toxic. I worked for and with very dishonest people. I felt like I was losing my integrity during my employment with the company. I was slowly becoming this person I didn’t know at times. Not to mention I was never appreciated for my good performance or positive input by the management. I decided I no longer wanted to waste my time or abilities with those people.

I became exhausted not just mentally but physically as well. As an athlete, I knew there was a strong mind-body connection. I was depressed and at times angry. My outlook on life was bleak. Physically, I was always so tired.

If you have a job or relationship you absolutely hate and it’s negatively affecting all aspects of your life to the point of misery, there needs to be a change. Unless you are faced with circumstances beyond control right now. I’ve faced the same fears as everyone else had to make a huge life change in his / her life. But you must get rid of toxic environment and people before it destroys your life.

It takes courage to make changes in your life. As long as you take the first step, you are heading in the right direction.
